An Italian-take on pork chops, these flavorful crunchy chops will have your family eating chop after chop. Covered in an onion-seasoned coating and topped with a rich marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, each bite of Pork Chop Mozzarella will have you thinking about your next bite and the one after that.   • 1 envelope (about 1 ounce) dry onion soup and recipe mix
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 egg or 2 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 6 boneless pork chops, 3/4-inch thick (about 1 1/2 pounds)
  • 1 1/2 cup Prego Traditional Italian Sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 ounces)


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Crush the soup mix in the envelope with a rolling pin. Stir the soup mix, bread crumbs and black pepper on a plate.

  3. Beat the egg and water in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk. Dip the pork in the egg mixture.

  4. Coat with the crumb mixture. Place the pork into a 2-quart shallow baking dish.

  5. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Pour the sauce over the pork. Sprinkle with the cheese.

  6. Bake for 5 minutes or until the pork is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
