Amish recipes are always easy with simple ingredients, so you just can't go wrong. This recipe for Pennsylvania Amish Shoofly Pie is similar to a southern pecan pie, but without the nuts. If you love easy dessert recipes, and are a fan of the taste of molasses, you'll love this sweet pie recipe. This Pennsylvania Amish Shoofly Pie is so yummy and gooey and sweet. I had heard of Shoofly pie but never tried it until I made this recipe. I am so glad I gave it a try. It is perfectly sweet and I agree with Edmund K, that it would probably be great with pecans added. Maybe I will try it that way next time I make it.

This looks positively yummy. I'm familiar with pecan pies, but while I've heard of Shoofly Pie, I've never had it. I couldn't help but wonder while I was reading the recipe about how it would taste with pecans added. It looks really sweet and I think a little slice would go a long way. Definitely something to make up this summer.

Looks good. I'm going to try it!
