"Spanakopita is the classic Greek spinach and feta savory pie, wrapped in crisp filo, or phyllo, pastry. In Greece they cut it into slices and serve as savory hand pies but it's great for lunch or dinner too. It's great party or potluck food: vegetarian but most meat eaters will love it; it's easy to prepare ahead, fill and freeze then bake straight from the freezer. Phyllo pastry is easy on the eye and on the waist - much less calorific than the usual pie crusts!"
