Down-Home Salisbury Steak
Comforting, old-fashioned recipes have the power to brighten your day. Try this Down-Home Salisbury Steak recipe for dinner. The steaks are made with ground beef, green bell pepper, and celery. The flavorful sauce is made with mushrooms and chili sauce. It's important to use Heinz chili sauce or the like, not Sriracha hot chili sauce. There's a big difference! If you don't realize the difference as you're making the recipe, your mouth will sure be able to tell after your first bite!

This recipe looks a lot better than the version of Salisbury Steak the school cafeteria used to make! I would definitely try this out. We have a vegetarian in the house so I would probably make two. I would switch out the ground beef for beefless crumbles and then also use vegetable broth instead of beef broth in the sauce. Has anyone tried a vegetarian variation of this recipe yet?
