Maple Syrup Burger
Maple Syrup Burger

"One of the classic Northern tales is of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe. The tales are of how giant he was and how much he could eat. So we've put together a burger in his honor. The burger features the up-north flavor of maple syrup. You may not think this sounds good at first, but when combined with cayenne pepper and the burger meat you get a really great combo of sweet, savory & spicy. Trust me this is well worth trying out!"

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Salt & Pepper
  • Maple Syurp
  • 4 Hamburger Buns
  • 8 Bacon Pieces
  • 4 slices Gouda Cheese
  1. Begin cooking bacon. You can put it in a pan, in the oven for 15-20 min at 400 degrees.

  2. Mix salt, pepper, and cayenne with the meat. Flatten into patties that are about 1/2 inch larger than the buns.

  3. Grill your burgers about 4min on the first side.

  4. Flip burgers and immediately add cheese. Put the buns face down on the grill. Cook until you reach the correct temp (140F for medium), usually about 2 to 4 minutes.

  5. Place bacon on top of your burger on the bun and then pour maple syrup over the top. Yum!
