4 Ingredient Mandarin Orange Pie

A pie crust is filled with a light and fluffy filling of mandarin oranges in Jello and topped with Cool Whip. This creamy orange pie is a great cool dessert that will make you the most popular cook at the party.

Ingredients

  • 1 package orange Jello
  • 1 can mandarin oranges or more
  • 1 pint whipping cream, divided
  • 1 baked pie shell

Instructions

  1. Empty dry Jello into medium size mixing bowl.
     
  2. Drain mandarin oranges, reserving liquid. Measure orange liquid and add enough water to equal 1 cup.
     
  3. Bring to boil and pour over dry Jello, stirring to dissolve thoroughly.
     
  4. Add drained orange sections. Refrigerate until the Jello mixture is quite syrupy in texture, but not set.
     
  5. Meanwhile, whip 1 cup of the cream until very stiff. Stir into the Jello mixture, then beat with mixer at high speed until mixture is light and foamy.
     
  6. Pour into baked pie shell and refrigerate until firm.
     
  7. Beat remaining cup of cream until very stiff, sweetening slightly with granulated sugar. Spread over pie and refrigerate until serving time.

I don't usually post remarks like this, but this recipe is completely screwed up. As some of the others said, you cannot whip cool whip. It will turn into soup. Sounds like a very good recipe with the right directions. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a mixed up recipe, calls for cool whip, but the instructions tell you to whip the cream ect.....
