This treat takes me back to my childhood. I love that you add options like using pie crust, but I have to say that the crescent roll idea is genius. Is there a way to make these with cream cheese and pumpkin? I bet that would make one heck of a breakfast hand pie. The egg wash would work beautiful on those too, but I am not sure if the cream cheese would stay in the pie. I am thinking I should use the cream cheese to make a dip or some icing.
