Lucky Star Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 CUP flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baling powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 1 1/4 cup nuts ground
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/16 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp melted butter
- 2 Tbsp. water
- a drop of maple or other flavoring
Instructions
Gradually add sifted flour and baking powder to the rest of the ingredients and, mix well. Roll out 1/8 inch thickness and cut with a star cutter and place in tiny muffin tins. Put filling in the center and make the star points stand up. Bake at 350F for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
