These Chocolate Rum Balls are the perfect Christmas cookie recipe.  Made from the crumbles of a simple cake mix chocolate cake, these cookies are then soaked in rum and coated in coconut. Because you get to crumble the cake yourself, this easy dessert recipe is extremely fun to make. The coconut gives a snowball appearance that make these cookies distinctly Christmas cookies.  Once the cookies have been formed in balls, they don’t have to be cooked, making this Christmas dessert recipe a low-maintenance and easy recipe, perfect for all of your holiday parties.

A woman I work with makes balls like these for our holiday party every year, except she coats them in chocolate. They are scrumptious and I bet these would be, too. Except, since I don't like coconut, I would use little colored or green and red sprinkles as coating. It's so easy to eat too many!

I love making all different kinds of balls for Christmas. I am going to try these some time for sure!
