Don't settle for a flavorless chicken breast recipe for dinner. Southern Smothered Chicken and Gravy is a bold chicken dish that will please your whole family. Top the chicken with gravy and onions before putting it in the oven for an intense flavor. The gravy infuses the chicken with delicious spices and also makes it tender and moist. Plus, the onions cook down for a little sweet bite to contrast the spicy gravy. Serve this smothered chicken and gravy family-style with other southern sides for a fantastic weeknight dinner.

Health eating was probably Ginger Rogers' secret of a smooth skin and in general, natural beauty. Chicken breast in generous gravy was one of her favorites which probably sustained her until her passing away. She was way older so I did not really get to see her movies.

Oh so yummy! It is easy to put together and while it baked I had time to chill with the family. The tarragon is a nice touch because it brings such a lovely aspect to the flavor. Everyone in the family ate it very happily served with brown and wild rice and a fresh salad from the garden. Definitely worth making again.

I've never seen cream of chicken with mushroom soup. I am guessing this is condensed soup? I have never seen it. Only cream of chicken or cream of mushroom. The dish looks very flavorful. It would be great with mashed potatoes or even rice.

I did check on Amazon and they have it there. I have never seen it in a grocery store before.
