I see molten lava cakes on the dessert menu at practically any chain restaurant I go to, but your bill can get kind of high if you go for the overpriced dessert. This way you can make them at home for a fraction of the cost! These would be the perfect impressive dessert to make for date night in!

I buy these from a local shop frequently. It will be nice to try making them myself. I will be able to change them up a bit too! Given the batter is thick, and they appear drier as they bake, I wonder if they are dry and heavy though. I would love to read feedback from people who have tried it.

I have seen lava chocolate cake but I have never seen lava strawberry cake...I would of never thought of different fillings for it. Such a great idea, I've heard some people thing the chocolate filling was a bit heavy but this is a great alternative!! I will definitely be trying this one out!
