This delicious Caramel Heath Bar Cake recipe is definitely easy to make. You can use your favorite chocolate boxed cake mix for the base. Then you'll top it with delicious ingredients like caramel sauce and chopped Heath bars. One of the biggest challenges in making this recipe is trying not to snack on the ingredients!

We love making this easy Heath bar cake for potlucks and weekend meals with family. It's always a hit, and no one would guess how simple it was to make!

  • 1 (18-ounce) box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12-ounce) container whipped topping
  • 3 Heath candy bars, chopped

Heath Bar Cake Recipe


  1. Make chocolate cake mix according to package directions.

  2. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan, for 20-25 minutes, or according to package instructions.

  3. When cake is done, remove and poke holes in the cake with a skewer. Do this while the cake is still hot.

  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk on top of hot cake.

  5. Pour caramel on top of hot cake.

  6. Once cake is cool, spread with whipped topping.

  7. Sprinkle chopped Heath bars on top and refrigerate until ready to serve.
