Ingredients
  • For the Brownies
  •  
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup water
  •  
  • For Butter Pecan Sauce
  •  
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon water + 1 tablespoon corn starch mixture
Instructions

For the Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add pecans and set aside.
  2. Melt butter; combine melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla – mix until well blended. Add flour-pecan mixture and stir well. Stir in in white chocolate chips and water.
  3. Pour batter into buttered 8x8” baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.

For the Butter Pecan Sauce

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat melt butter. Stir in sugars, syrup, heavy cream and cornstarch mixture; continue stirring until thick.
  2. Remove from heat and add pecans. Serve brownies topped with vanilla ice cream and butter pecan sauce.

13 cups of butter sounds unreasonable!!!! Maybe it should read 1/3 cup.
