Cappuccino Cookie Dough Brownies

Ever want dessert recipes that combine all your favorite sweets? Look no further! These Cappuccino Cookie Dough Brownies will delight, and with their two-toned layers they are really impressive as a dessert when company's coming.


  • 1 cup (about 6-ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 2 teaspoons boiling water
  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Cookie Dough Layer:
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup (about 6-ounces) Heath bar or toffee chips


  1. In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips. Cool slightly. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  3. Slowly add eggs and vanilla. In small bowl, dissolve coffee granules in boiling water. Stir in melted chocolate and coffee mixture.
  4. Combine flour and baking soda, add to batter. Spread in greased 9x13 baking pan.
  5. Bake for 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool.

For Cooking Dough Topping: 

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in milk and vanilla.
  2. Gradually add flour. Stir in toffee chips. Drop over brownie, carefully spreading to edges.
  3. Store in refrigerator.
