Do yourself a favour and give this recipe a try. I always face the same problem on weekends. I want to have a delicious brunch, but I don't have the energy in the morning to make anything fancy. With this recipe, you can make it up the night before and throw it into the fridge before you go to bed. In the morning, it's all ready to cook up and satisfy your brunch craving! Easy peasy. It is super yummy too. I usually like to eat mine with maple syrup, but it's also good topped with fruit, or cinnamon and sugar. Give it a go!

This is one of the best French toast I've ever had. I would enjoy this dish again. Best morning ever!

How many does this serve?

It serves 6 people.

Loved it! Very moist and fluffy. It was even better with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

French toast is by far one of my favorite breakfast foods; it's all I ever order when we go out to breakfast. All this recipe needed was some strawberries on top and it would have been perfect! The edges were a bit crispy which is the way I like it.

This was a simple recipe that everyone will love. It is definitely picky eater friendly and incredibly easy to make.

Yum! This a great idea to make quick french toast. I prefer regular old bread for french toast though. More places to put syrup!

I thought the French bread was a great choice in this recipe. The thick slices absorbed the egg mixture without making it too soggy. Yum!

This morning just got a whole lot better. Love this recipe. So gooey and delicious. Even better drowned in syrup. Yum.

in response to Chef 4032474: 3. Spread butter over bottom of heavy large baking pan with 1 inch sides. "Remove bread from egg mixture" and arrange slices in pan.

Would thick bread such as Texas Toast work with this recipe?

my grandson would love tiis for breakfast or lunch . Great idea

You bring up an excellent point! We have modified the recipe instructions to make this more clear. Thank you - our readers are our best Editors!

After sitting here looking at this recipe, I finally figured out what doesn't make any sense. It doesn't specify that you are supposed to take the bread out of the egg mixture before you bake it. More experienced cooks might take that for granted but younger and more inexperienced cooks might have a slight problem.
