White Trash Peanut Butter Crisps

Super easy to make, this no bake homemade candy recipe is ready in minutes and is great to share with the family. White Trash Peanut Butter Crisps have the flavor of rice krispy treats, but you can decide if you want switch it out for a different type of cereal you have on hand. It's pretty awesome how peanut butter and chocolate come together to make some of the best dessert recipes out there.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup karo syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies, Honey-Nut Cheerios, Cheerios, and/or Cocoa Krispies

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar and karo to a boil, very slowly so that the sugar dissolves completely.
     
  2. Take off heat, then add peanut butter and chocolate chips. Stir to combine and quickly pour over cereal.
     
  3. Then pat into 9 x 13 pan. Let set, then cut into desired size squares.
