Easy Baked Oatmeal Bars

Are you looking for a quick and easy recipe for back to school breakfasts? These easy baked oatmeal bars are sure to be a hit with kids and grown ups, and they are customizable to fit individual tastes. These bars make great easy breakfast recipes on the go.

Notes

Instead of chocolate chips, you may substitute raisins, chopped pecans, or butterscotch chips for a variety of flavors!

Cooking Time45 min

Ingredients

  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Press into a greased 9 inch square pan.
     
  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

I don't understand the photo of the bar in your hand??? I guess I'm missing something???

These were great but crumbled as I removed them from pan. I don't know if I didn't press them in well enough or I tried removing them too soon.
