Mongolian Beef Ramen Noodles

Ramen isn't just for college students who don't know how to cook! This Mongolian Beef Ramen Noodles recipe is an almost perfect copycat version of P.F. Chang's Mongolian Beef. This easy noodle recipe has simple ingredients such as thinly sliced flank steak, green peppers, and green onions. The soy sauce and sesame oil coats everything with the just the right amout of flavor and salt. You can make this quick, hearty dish for your family dinner on busy weeknights. It's much healthier and less expensive than ordering takeout!

You can do almost anything with a pack of ramen noodles. Who would have thought way back in the day when these dried noodles first came out and cost only pennies that we would still be eating them today? They are so easy to use and take so much less time that cooking actual noodles.

I never really cared for ramen noodles before, as the seasoning packet that comes with it is mostly salt and MSG. But since they are so cheap, you can just pitch the packet and make this! I added some more veggies to mine - some thinly sliced celery, red bell pepper, mushrooms, and a jalapeno. the leftovers are great for lunch at work the next day!

Very tasty and easy to make makes this a great family meal for a busy week night. We added some chopped fresh ginger and chili as well as some veg (cauliflower, brocolli, snap peas) that we had available. We love ramen noodles and this recipe is definitely good enough to keep to use often in the future.

I've made something very similar using a package of ramen noodles with seasonings as a base. The Mama brand (it's available at our local Asian grocery) has a nice hot beef flavored version that I've used with beef, peppers, and onions, but I really want to give this slightly more involved recipe a try. It looks very tasty.

Look no further, this is the Mongolian Beef recipe you have been searching for. Made with Ramen Noodles (how cool is that flashback to college?) you will absolutely love this recipe. Don't let the cooking in stages scare you. The recipe is well written and easy to follow, and the result is fantastic.

how fun is this? Ramen noodles are so cheap, but I didn't think I could use them in other recipes. I'm definitely making this one. Thanks for the idea!
