Bacon Cheddar Ranch Cheeseball

"This Bacon Cheddar Ranch Cheeseball is perfect for holiday appetizer parties…or just holiday snacking in general! Cheeseballs are such funny things. They always show up at a certain time of the year for holiday parties and general snacking pleasure. There you are at your wife’s (or husband’s) holiday party. You’re trying your best not to look awkwardly out of place, so you head over to the appetizer table. Sure enough, there’s a port wine cheeseball. Or perhaps you get lucky and find a smoky bacon cheeseball. Anyhow, cheeseballs get a bit of a bad rap. But have you ever tried making your own cheeseball?  Homemade appetizers are generally much better than store-bought appetizers, right?  So why not whip up a Bacon Cheddar Ranch Cheeseball for the holiday party this year?  And since you’re in charge, no-one will know if a little bit goes missing before it gets rolled up, right?"

I love making cheeseballs. They are great to have on hand, especially during the holidays. This is a wonderful cheeseball. I usually take some chopped parsely and chopped sun dried tomatoes and roll the cheeseball in the mixture. It looks very festive. It went well with this recipe. It makes a beautiful and delicious cheeseball.

This would be good minus the pecans. Double up on the amount of bacon and leave the pecans at the store. Bacon, cheddar, and ranch all go together very well. Make these a day or two a head of time so the flavors meld really well. Pretzel sticks would also be good with this.

Cheeseballs are perfect as a holiday appetizer. This is such a unique take with ranch flavoring. Bacon, ranch, and cheese go so well together and seem to be very popular lately so this is a great recipe to give a try for 2016-2017!

It used to be a thing, bringing a cheeseball to holiday parties. I like the thought and look of this, though my family would probably like it better without the pecans. We would be happy with the bacon, cheddar, and ranch ingredients! I remember when a certain seasonal retailer would set up kiosks in malls and hand out free samples of their cheeseballs-yum!
