Hungry Girl Clam chowder. This soup is perfect to have during cold days. This clam chowder is also perfect when you don't feel well and you just want to have something light instead of eating a heavy meal. Perfect comfort food.

This is one of the better versions of clam chowder that I have seen. It is not too thick and heavy, and is loaded with fresh flavors. I agree with the comment about cornstarch and would use flour in this instead. My son won't eat anything that tastes like seafood, I will surely make this the next time he spends the night at grandma's house!

I do like clam chowder and it is one of my husband's favorite soups. I do find it odd where it mentions using cornstarch in stead of flour if you are gluten free. The recipe keeps the amounts the same and cornstarch is not the same as flour. When using flour as a thickener, you need to use twice the amount that you would if using cornstarch. If you do need to use cornstarch, keep this in mind. You may end up having to add milk to get the right consistency.
