Melody's Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Don't throw those seeds away after you carve a pumpkin! Use them to try this recipe for Melody's Roasted Pumpkin Seeds! This roasted pumpkin seed recipe adds Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce for an extra kick.

Cooking Time30 min

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds, rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • pinch garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
     
  2. In a microwave-safe dish, melt butter. Once melted, add all other ingredients except seeds. Stir to combine.
     
  3. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up.
     
  4. Lay pumpkin seeds flat on surface and drizzle with marinade. Toss to make sure each seed is coated evenly.
     
  5. Place seeds in the oven for 30 minutes. Toss seeds every 10 minutes.
     
  6. Let cool. Enjoy alone or mix with peanuts, pretzels, and popcorn.

Roasted pumpkin seeds have just got to be one of lifes great pleasures! And they are so easy to prepare that it boggles my mind as to why I don't think of doing it more often. Having now seen this recipe I will definitely be making these tomorrow and I had better make at least a double quantity otherwise they'll all be eaten by dinner time.
