Ingredients

  • Homemade Buttermilk Dressing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • chopped fresh chives
  • chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Salad Ingredients
  • baby spinach, washed and dried
  • tomatoes, chopped
  • hard boiled eggs, cut into wedges
  • green onions, chopped
  • green peas, cooked and cooled
  • crumbled bacon
  • shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Add mayo, sour cream, buttermilk, apple cider vinegar, chives, parsley, salt, and pepper to a medium to large-sized bowl.

  2. Whisk ingredients together until completely blended. Set aside.

  3. In a serving bowl, layer each of the seven ingredients starting with the spinach.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes.

  5. Add hard boiled egg wedges.

  6. Add green peas.

  7. Add layer of Cheddar cheese.

  8. Add layer of chopped bacon.

  9. Sprinkle on a light layer of green onions.

  10. And finally, top your salad with the homemade buttermilk dressing to finish.

  11. Your finished salad should look something like this. You may choose to layer it differently or use different ingredients, but this is a great basic recipe that will please a crowd.
