This isn't your average cream cheese-based peanut butter pie recipe. Amish Peanut Butter Pie goes above and beyond what you typically think of peanut butter pies. This no bake pie is made with a homemade vanilla pudding and peanut butter nuggets, so the peanut butter flavor isn't overpowering and the texture is creamy and delicate. Simply assemble the pie and slather the top with homemade whipped cream. Once it's set, you'll have a mind-blowing Amish dessert that will become a family favorite during the summer.

Chilling Time: 2 hr

Cooking Vessel Size: 9 X 9-inch Pie Plate

Let the pie set in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.

There are a lot of recipes out there that call themselves Amish, but whenever I see instant pudding mix or cool whip in the ingredients list, I know that it is not quite that. This pie is much more authentic since you actually do make the pudding using real ingredients. The peanut butter nuggets are a great idea, and could be used for other desserts like cookies, or to top an ice cream sundae!

This looks absolutely dreamy. I'd be tempted to just use a box of instant pudding, but I would like to try making it from scratch. Her suggestion about trying it with a chocolate pudding sounds incredibly tasty and I'd love to experiment with that variation. Chocolate and peanut butter just go so well together and a pie combining both would be delicious.

I love banana cream pies and coconut cream pies, so I am sure I will love peanut butter cream pie. The whipped cream and peanut butter "nuggets" must make it wonderful! What is vanilla bean paste? I really don't make pies from scratch, so I might use the idea below and put it in a graham cracker crust.

You had me at peanut butter! I love cream pies. I have never heard of a pie like this. Most peanut butter pies I know of are cream cheese based, just like it says. There are Amish near me, but I have only seen jams and jellies and other fruit based baked goods. I can't wait to try this.

This is quite the peanut butter pie! Beautiful, creamy, fluffy, flavorful- all at the same time! The vanilla pudding is really the key ingredient. It adds a rich texture to the pie, while also matching the flavor of the peanut butter a little so it isn't too overpowering! Plus, it's a no-bake recipe which is a nice and simple aspect!

This seems so perfect, since I love peanut butter, but I'm worried it would taste a little too strongly of pb.

This was an amazing pie! My daughter said it tasted like a fluffly cloud of peanut butter heaven. I used a graham cracker crust as I didn't have time to make pie crust, and it was still soooo good!
