Butter Cream Frosting

Butter Cream Frosting


  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk, cream or water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 to 3 drops butter flavoring


Beat well in electric mixer. Normally use up to 2 pound bag of powdered sugar.
