Peanut Butter and Chocolate Easter Eggs

The best Easter candy recipes are the ones that involve chocolate, don't you think? These sweet Easter eggs blend peanut butter with chocolate in the perfect combination of YUM!


  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces chocolate flavored candy coating (or melted chocolate chips)


  1. In a mixing bowl, stir together peanut butter and butter.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring till combined.
  3. Shape into eggs, place on waxed paper.   Let stand till dry (small eggs or balls take about 20 minutes).
  4. Melt candy coating.  Cool slightly.
  5. Dip the peanut butter eggs into coating. Let excess coating drip off.
  6. Place on waxed paper; let stand till coating is firm.
  7. Store tightly covered in refrigerator. Makes about 30 peanut butter eggs.
