Lavender French 75

"This Lavender French 75 takes the classic champagne cocktail and dresses it up with a soft floral twist. Using my Lavender Simple Syrup and jewel-toned Empress gin, you get a drink that’s lightly sweet, citrusy, bubbly, and as gorgeous as it is refreshing. The lavender flavor is subtle, never soapy, making this an elegant choice for brunch or bridal showers. The French 75 is a classic cocktail typically made with a sugar cube (or simple syrup), cognac or gin, and topped with a dry champagne or sparkling wine and a lemon peel twist. But most often, you will see this refreshing cocktail served with gin. Which is why I chose to use Empress 1908 gin. The purple color echoes the addition of the lavender syrup. And also because it tastes great. It also has citrus notes, which work well with the lavender-infused syrup."
