4-Ingredient Breakfast Smoothie

"There is no better way to start your morning than with a healthy and balanced breakfast. Blend this breakfast smoothie with low-fat milk, frozen berries, cranberry juice and a scoop of protein powder to power up your day!"

Yields1 550ml smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen mix berries
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 scoop vanilla flavored protein powder of choice (1/3 cup, firmly packed)

My wife will often go on what I call a smoothie kick when she makes up a variety of smoothies, mostly of the greens variety. I prefer the fruit ones, and this sounds like a delightful way to start the morning. My son, when he's home for a visit, also is a fan of smoothies, and I think this would definitely appeal to him as well.

I can add this smoothie recipe to my list of detox smoothies. I often make banana and apple smoothies, sometimes with cinnamon. You can also mix up other fruits to make detox smoothies, or add up other ingredients like apple cider.

Hmmm this smoothie looks heavenly. I commute far to work every day and eating in the car is difficult so I was looking for smoothie recipes in place of breakfast. I think this is the answer, especially with the protein powder as it will keep me full for longer. I can't wait to try it. I thought I could add apples too, even a banana. I love cranberries but goji berries could work well too.
