"There are very few things in this world I don't think can be made better by adding caramel (and rum for that matter) but to me spiced rum is caramels ideal partner. There's something about those spicy, sugary, boozy flavors that just works. And yes, I may have made twice as much spiked caramel as this recipe calls for to pour over ice cream, and dip apples in, and eat with a spoon"


  • 2 packages spiced cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 ounce spiced rum
  • 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 ounce spiced rum

Oh, they have spiced rum in the blondies? Nice addition to a tasty caramel treat. I think that the rum will go very nicely with the caramel flavor. I know I am ready to make a batch and find out for myself. This sounds so divine right now with the white chocolate chips and all.
