Sour cream and raisins? I haven't heard of this pie either Maggie G. I am very curious though. Can I leave out the walnuts, or use something in place of them since we have a nut allergy in our home? I am surprised to find a recipe that uses sour cream like this because my grandma made a lot of homemade pies, but none with sour cream.

I have never heard of a sour cream raisin pie but the ingredient list does sound very good! It reminds me of a pecan pie but with a cool whip topping. I think I would prefer a spiced oat topping (oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter) instead of the cool whip. I have never made a brown sugar meringue but I think that would be great on top, as well!
