Do you think it would mess with the mixture if I used peanuts instead of the walnuts? My daughter is allergic to tree nuts. My mom used to make a chocolate and peanut butter fudge with coconut. The peanut butter always turned out better, but they were so delicious. Does the soda add a caramel or maple flavor to the fudge?
