Caramel Apple Dessert Pizza
Caramel Apple Dessert Pizza

"Take caramel apples to a whole new level with a Caramel Apple Dessert Pizza! With its sweet cookie crust, tart cream cheese “pizza sauce” and crisp apple topping. You can use whatever caramel topping is your favorite, but I highly recommend Smuckers Caramel Sauce. It’s so delicious and pairs perfectly with the other flavors in this recipe. If you want a nice thin crust on your apple dessert pizza, you can use half the tube of sugar cookie dough instead of the full tube. You’ll want to bake it for about 14 minutes instead of 22 for a perfect golden crust. "

Ingredients

  • 1 each 16.5 oz tube of Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
  • 2/3 Cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 each green apple
  • 2 eachs Twix candy bars
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling
  1. To make your apple dessert pizza, you’ll want to start by getting your crust ready so that it has time to cool while you prepare your toppings! Making the crust is simple with premade sugar cookie dough. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

  2. Press the dough into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake your crust for about 22 minutes or until it’s just starting to turn golden brown.

  3. When the crust is finished cooking, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 20 minutes. Remove the crust from the pan and place it in the fridge to chill while you make your toppings.

  4. For the “pizza sauce” of your apple dessert pizza, you’ll mix together the cream cheese, vanilla, caramel, and powdered sugar until they are well combined.

  5. Add in the heavy whipping cream and mix with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Place the sauce in the fridge until you are ready to assemble your pizza.

  6. In the meantime, you can dice up your green apple and chop up the Twix bar. When everything is cool you are ready to put together your apple dessert pizza.

  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the cookie crust.

  8. Sprinkle the apples and chopped Twix bar over the top of the "sauce"

  9. Drizzle as much caramel sauce as you want on your pizza and it’s ready to serve!
