Caramel Apple Crisp


  • 6 apples, peeled cored, and sliced
  • 1/3 cup craisins (dried cranberries)
  • 8 caramel candies unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 6 tablespoons soft butter


Serving Size: 6. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the caramels in half . Place apples in a greased 8" square pan or maybe an 11x7" pan. Sprinkle the craisins on top and distribute the caramels over the apples. Blend remaining (streuselly stuff) ingredients until crumbly (I used the food processor) and spread over apple mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with whipped ice cream, cream, or hard sauce.
