Delicious! There is no other word for these! Also, it's a very easy and well written recipe. My husband has been wanting a carrot cake for awhile, while I have been wanting a cheesecake. This is the perfect blend of two wonderful things. I did use homemade apple butter instead of applesauce, as that is what I had on hand. I just reduced the sugar to a little over half a cup. This is a great recipe to have on hand for a light dessert or for a pot luck.

Wow, I've never seen carrot cake in bar form, but I'm definitely intrigued! These would make a great party dessert.

I love carrot cake, but it requires so much effort. This seems like a great recipe to make when I'm feeling lazy!

This sounds like a great way to make carrot cake. I have never used applesauce before. This seems easy to make with the cream cheese in the batter instead of using it for the icing. I will definitely give it a try. I am a big fan of carrot cake.

I definitely like this as a low key alternative to a carrot cake!

I liked these bars better than a big cake. It works well when you need smaller pieces, like for a potluck. The spices are a true carrot cake and not a spice ake. I've noticed that sometimes a spice cake is mislabled as a carrot cake.
