Ingredients

  • 2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.

  3. Use a fork to smash apple pie filling into smaller pieces.  Place 2 tablespoons apple pie filling on each crescent roll.  Roll crescent dough up to seal in pie filling.

  4. Dip each roll into melted butter and then roll in the cinnamon sugar.

  5. Place seam side down on a parchment-lined pan and bake for 15 minutes or until brown.

This recipe for apple pie crescent roll ups sure sound like they could be kin to the apple pie that you can purchase at the fast food chains. Using the crescent roll up (my favorite) is the best part of all. I have to put apple pie (or other pie filling) on my grocery list.

I did not think it was possible to make crescent rolls any better, until now. OMG! It is impossible to keep these cans in the fridge as it is, now a new recipe that will surely be a request once I make them once. I need stock in crescent rolls.

I would even add a little cinnamon to the apples and stir it up good so that they would have a little more cinnamon taste to them. I imagine you could even substitute a can of peaches or pears to make these roll ups. So yummy!
