I love to use white frosting on layered cakes like these. They look so simple and elegant on the outside, and when you cut into them and serve it, your guests are really impressed with the fancy layers! For an extra pop of pecan flavor, just throw the pecans on a foil lined pan and pop them in the oven for about 5 minutes at 350 degrees to toast. Cool before using in the cake.
