Cooking Vessel Size9 inch round cake pans, stand mixer
- 4 ounces Bakers German Chocolate
- 1 cup Water
- 2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 4 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 15.5 ounce Coconut Pecan Frosting
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 32 ounce Chocolate Frosting
Preheat the oven to 350F. Spray cake pans with non-stick spray and line with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl place the chocolate and water. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Whisk well and reheat another 15-30 seconds if needed until the mixture is smooth. Set aside.
