4-Ingredient Tropical Dump Cake

Easy dessert recipes don't come much simpler than this 4-Ingredient Tropical Dump Cake. All you need to prepare this fruity cake recipe are a box of yellow cake mix, some butter, a can of blueberry pie filling and a can of crushed pineapple. That's it, really. This wonderful layered cake recipe is one of the quickest dump cake recipes you'll ever find, and also one of the most delicious. If you're a fan of cakes that are bursting with wonderful fruity flavor, this is the treat for you!

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling
  • 1 can (small) crushed pineapple


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray cake pan with cooking spray.
  2. Dump blueberry pie filling on the bottom of the cake pan and spread evenly.
  3. Drain canned pineapple and distribute pineapple evenly over bluberries.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the bluberries and pineapple.
  5. Cut the butter into 1/4 inch pats and distribute evenly over cake mix.
  6. Place cake pan on center rack of oven for approximately 1 hour.  When the top is golden brown, the cake is done. Let sit for at least 15 minutes to cool before serving.
