Blonde Brownies


  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 12 ounces pkg. chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Sift together flour and baking powder and set aside. Melt the brown sugar, butter and salt in a saucepan and let cool. Beat the eggs and add to the cooled brown sugar mixture. Add the brown sugar mixture to the flour and baking powder mixture bowl and mix thoroughly. Spread the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch oblong pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
