As far as weeknight dinners go, this is a family favorite recipe that's always comforting and delicious. Smothered Swiss Steak is an old-fashioned recipe for Swiss steak that's smothered in a delicious tomato gravy that makes the steaks fork-tender, so they practically melt in your mouth. This dish only requires 10 minutes of hands-on time, then let it simmer until the steaks are tender and full of flavor. Serve with your favorite sides for an amazing meal.

Does dinner get any better than having a juicy steak with a tender tomato gravy? What is your favorite side to put with this dish? I like to use a potato of some sort. It can be mashed, buttered, or baked. I like a green bean or peas with the meal to give it additional color.
