"Say goodbye to those frozen bags of tater tots. This tater tot recipe is way better than the store-bought and an excellent kid-friendly recipe that adults go crazy for too. This homemade tater tot recipe is easier to make than you think, for a perfect afternoon snack idea. Homemade tater tots are the best if you are looking for a great snack for your kids. It can be dipped into garlic sour cream or even a bbq sauce for a perfect snack and appetizer."

  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 ounces rosemary sprigs
  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold water.

  2. Bring to a boil and cook until parboiled, for 7 minutes.

  3. Drain well and let cool.

  4. Grate the cooked potatoes.

  5. Using cheesecloth, remove as much water as possible from the potatoes.

  6. Transfer potatoes to a large bowl.
