Best Bisquick Drop Biscuits are the perfect biscuit recipe for fall. Made with cinnamon, nutmeg and other spices, chopped apples and pecans, this recipe is everything you love about the season! Even better than that, these little biscuits are made with Bisquick, so half the work is done for you. These will go great with any fall meal, including Thanksgiving! They also work perfectly as a light breakfast. Spread some apple butter or peanut butter on them and pour yourself a cup of coffee. You're in for a real treat!

Ingredients

2 cups Bisquick biscuit mix
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
pinch of salt
1/2 cup apple cider or juice
1 Granny Smith apple, finely diced

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Stir together Bisquick mix, pecans, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and salt.
Add apple cider and apple pieces, and stir until dough clings together.
Drop batter in even mounds onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes.

This sounds delicious. For my personal recipe files, I changed the name to Nutty Apple Bites, since there's more than biscuit to them. I will probably make a light glaze to top these when I make them. Looking forward to enjoying this with a cup of coffee.

What a find, and so easy to make too. I'm so glad I decided to take a look at this recipe...the picture doesn't do it justice by any means. It's almost like a healthier version of an apple fritter. Topping them off with a little powdered sugar or even a drizzle of honey right after they come out of the oven would make a huge difference in both taste and appearance.
