Mama's Cheddar and Garlic Biscuits

The combination of chicken broth, garlic and shredded Cheddar cheese packs a flavorful punch in Mama's Cheddar and Garlic Biscuits. Recipe Tips:

Baked biscuits can be frozen. To reheat, heat the oven to 375 degrees F.  Wrap the biscuits loosely in aluminum foil.  Bake for 10 minutes or until hot.

  • 5 cups all-purpose baking mix or buttermilk biscuit mix
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)
  • 1 3/4 cup Swanson® Chicken Broth (Regular, Natural Goodness® or Certified Organic)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced


  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

  2. Stir the baking mix, cheese, broth and garlic in a medium bowl with a fork. Drop 12 spoonfuls dough onto a baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and another baking sheet.

  3. ake for 10 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
