Sweet And Spicy Pulled Pork is one of the tastiest oven pulled pork recipes, made with a mouthwatering sauce that combines spicy chili powder, savory Worcestershire sauce, mustard, vinegar and ketchup with sweet honey and brown sugar.

Cooking MethodSlow Cooker


  • 4 pounds pork butt roast
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 (14-ounce) bottle ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey


  1. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, combine all ingredients, including liquid smoke, onion, garlic, vinegar, brown sugar, lemon juice, ketchup, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, wine, salt, pepper and honey (excluding the port roast) and mix well.
  2. Place pork roast in a medium bowl and pour prepared sauce over.
  3. Refrigerate and let marinate overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  5. Place roast, along with marinade, into a an oven-proof baking dish.
  6. Roast for 7 hours, uncovered.
  7. Let cool slightly then use two forks to shred meat in the pan with the juices and sauce.
  8. Serve with rolls.
