Lamb Shanks

Lamb Shanks


  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 2 cups consomme
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup pot barley
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper to taste


Place lamb shanks in roasting pan add all the above ingredients, cover with foil or a tight fitting lid and bake in oven at 375 degrees for about 1hour (or til tender). Serve with your favourite potatoes.
