Chocolate chip Frosting
- 1 cup (6 ounces) chocolate morsels
- 2 cups confectioner's sugar, sifted if lumpy
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup hot milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt the chocolate morsels in a pan or mixing bowl set in simmering water. Add the confectioners' sugar. shortening, hot milk, and vanilla, and beat until the frosting is thick, smooth and spreadable. You will have enough to fill and frost an 8 inch two-layer cake.
