  • 3 1/2 pounds chicken fryer
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/3 cup beer
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, minced


  1. Mix flour, salt and pepper. Roll chicken pieces in flour mixture.
  2. Melt butter in heavy pan and brown chicken with onion slices.
  3. When chicken is well browned, add the beer. Cover and cook on low for about 40 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  4. Add cream and parsley and heat through but don't boil.

I believe the recipes you display would be much better, (and easier for someone like me) if you were to include side dishes, or what could accompany the main dish. You wouldn't have to include the recipe, just suggestion so that I could look them up in the recipe files.
