Fleischkaese or Leberkaese (same Thing)

Ingredients

  • 800 gr lean beef
  • 200 gr pork shoulder roast
  • 250 gr bacon, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Plenty of nutmeg, to taste
  • Pepper, about 1 tsp
  • 30 gr butter
  • 1 onion, chopped

Instructions

Saute onion in butter. Put meat through fine blade in meat grinder and mix well with all other ingredients. Carefully add enough lukewarm water until you get a nice dough-like mixture, be sure it's not too soft from too much liquid. Place in greased loaf pan, brush with water and bake at 375 Fahrenheit for 1 hour. Slice and serve. You can also line loaf pan with baking paper, and then grease the paper before filling with meat mixture. Fleischkaese 800g Rindfleisch (mager) 200g Schweinefleisch (Schulter) 250g durchwachsener Speck, sehr fein gew|rfelt Salz Muskat (ordentlich) Pfeffer ( ca 1 TL) 30g Butter 1 Zwiebel, gehackt Zwiebel in der Butter and|nsten. Fleisch durch die Feine Scheibe des Fleischwolfes drehen und mit allen anderen Zutaten gut vermischen. Nun soviel lauwarmes Wasser zugeben, dass eine geschmeidige, aber nicht zu fl|ssige Fleischmasse entsteht. Fleischteig in einen gefetteten Brdter verteilen, mit Wasser bestreichen und bei 180 Grad 1 Stunde backen. Schmeckt auch kalt noch sehr lecker!
