If you need to make a dessert for a crowd, Frozen Banana Split Dessert will fulfill your needs and more. This make ahead, layered dessert makes a large number of servings and is cheap, but it still tastes fantastic. When you take a bite of this dessert, you get the same flavors expected from a banana split. However, since the treat is layered, the ingredients are distributed more evenly than in the traditional dish. The recipe is also simple enough that you can easily add your own additional toppings, like strawberries or caramel sauce.

Oh this dessert takes me back to when I was a little girl and my mom would make us homemade banana splits. Did you get yours from the ice cream shop, or did you prefer for mom or dad to make them fresh at home? I like that we toasted peanuts and made the toppings for these treats ourselves. It was so yummy and fun.
