This Oven-Baked Catfish may not be fried, but it might just be the quickest and simplest way to enjoy the wholesome flavors of southern cooking. It only takes five ingredients, two steps, and just a little more than half an hour to have this delicious catfish dish ready to put on the table. The hardest part about making this recipe is waiting for the oven to do its work. In the end, you'll have a tender catfish breaded in a crispy cornbread crust to dig into.

  • 1 cup Pepperidge Farm® Cornbread Stuffing, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 pouch Fresh or thawed frozen catfish (about 4 fillets)
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Butter


  1. Stir the stuffing and paprika on a plate. Beat the egg in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk. Dip the fish into the egg. Coat the fish with the stuffing mixture. Place the fish onto a baking sheet. Drizzle the fish with the butter.

  2. Bake at 400°F. for 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
