Orange Spice Sweet Tea Recipe

"For a new twist on a classic, you will want to try my orange spice sweet tea recipe. I love creating new spins on the classic Southern sweet tea. This is my latest version and I must say it works perfectly for fall. This recipe is perfect paired with any meal in the cooler weather. The sweet hint of orange and subtle spice flavor will really hit the spot. This post is sponsored by Lipton and Food Network however all projects and opinions are my own."

Ingredients

  • Lipton iced tea (I used the Lipton 24ct Regular (Caff) Iced Black Tea – Family Sized tea bags)
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 orange (additional for garnish if desired)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • water
  1. Start by peeling your orange. We will use the actual orange in the recipe in a few minutes. Add the orange peel and cinnamon stick to a stock pot. Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.

  2. Pour the boiling water over 2 family sized tea bags in a heat proof pitcher. Brew 3 – 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, orange peel, and cinnamon stick. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Add juice from orange. Stir in 6 cups of ice cubes until melted. Keep your orange spice sweet tea refrigerated. Serve over ice with additional orange slices if desired.

  3. Serve up this tea recipe with any meal this fall. Your entire family will love the sweet but spicy taste. Looking for more creative twists for fall meals?
